Its impacts has permeated all facets of human life be it social, economic, political, psychological and the media is agog with the reportage of its varied dimensions. Thus, it is not out of place for the Social Sciences to engage in a critical interrogation of this pandemic. In this specialĀ  edition of Socialscientia Journal of the Social Sciences and Humanities, we are seeking research papers that address issues emerging during the COVID-19 pandemic. We invite research papers focused on conceptual and theoretical articles, point of view/commentary articles and articles describing original research covering a broad range of social science subjects and fields that can speak to the experiences, broader policy implications, management and pandemic governance. The research contents should deal specifically with COVID-19 and could include other related discourses around global pandemics, models, concepts, reviews; ideologies, histories, theories but the paper should relate findings to the focus of the special edition.
