The earlier the breast cancer is detected, the greater the chance for a successful treatment. Many. factors act the risk for breast cancer. Some of these factors can be controlled or modified including what we eat, the type of chemicals in our environment and how much we exercise. Breast cancer in Nigeria is a public health problem because most patients report late, the increased mortality of breast cancer patients. Prevention involves awareness creation for early detection through Breast Self - Examination and lifestyle changes.
