CRITICAL EXPOSITION OF THE PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF PRIMARY BOARDING SCHOOL ON THE CHILD’S PERSONALITY FORMATION
The primary boarding school is a place where children at the primary school level live and learn under the influence and care of teachers, mentors, cooks, care-givers and fellow students. This method of educating a child has a psychological effect on the child’s personality formation. Using the critical questioning method, this research brings to the fore those psychological effects that sending a child away from home at a very tender age have on the way such a child views the world. This paper further makes recommendations on how to improve our educational system and train children without subjecting them to the psychological and emotional chaos of feeling unloved and not being cared for by their immediate family members.
