A quasi-experimental research design was adopted for the study. The study was conducted in Benue State. The population for the study consisted of 9.510 pregnant women attending selected health facilities in Benue State. A sample size of 310 pregnant women was used for the study. The multistage sampling techniques using Cochran (1963) formula was adopted to arrive at the sample size. A researcher designed structural questionnaire (NKPPWQ) was used for data collection in the study. The instrument attained a reliability coefficient of 0.85, which was high and thus, adopted. The ANEP was subjected to face and content validity. 310 copies of the questionnaire were administered for the study and all the 310 copies were valid and thus used for data analysis.
