Author Guidelines

Journal of Social Work in Developing Societies receives all manuscript submissions electronically via its email [email protected]

Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources and are required to sign an agreement for the transfer of copyright to the publisher. All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs become the property of the publisher.

All parts of the manuscript should be prepared using APA 7th Edition. All manuscripts should be blind submission without the author’s names and affiliation in any part of the manuscript. Author’s names, affiliation, acknowledgement, and conflict of interest statement should be on the Title page only. This should not be part of the manuscript. The manuscript should be typewritten using 1.5 spacing, with margins of at least one inch on all sides. Number manuscript pages consecutively throughout the paper. Authors should also supply a shortened version of the title suitable for the running head, not exceeding 50 character spaces. Each article should be summarized in an abstract of not more than 200 words. Avoid abbreviations, diagrams, and references to the text in the abstract. Manuscripts should be between 15 and 20 pages in length or a maximum of 7000 words (including references) and should have a maximum of 5 Tables.

References. Please use APA 7th Edition when preparing your paper.

Tables and Figures. Tables and figures (illustrations) should be embedded in the text and prepared using APA 7th Edition. A short descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend and any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included. Figures should be completely labelled, taking into account the necessary size reduction.

Open Access. Journal of Social Work in Developing Societies is an open-access journal.

Publishing Ethics. For all manuscripts, issues relating to the integrity of the submitted article, conflicts of interest, falsification, and fabrication of data, plagiarism, unethical experimentation, inadequate subject consent, and authorship dispute can prevent a paper from being sent out for review or even publication.
